Featured Special Programs
Direct School Admission (DSA) Preparation Class
DSA (Direct School Admission) is a competitive process that can be overwhelming for many students. Our DSA preparation class is specifically designed for students who want to utilize their coding and technology-related talents to apply to selected secondary schools. With our expertise and experience in helping students navigate the DSA process, this program provides students with the best chance of success. Students will learn about the DSA application process, from selecting which schools to apply for, to building their own portfolio and standing out in an individual/group interview..
Minecraft Modding
This course provides an exciting opportunity for Minecraft enthusiasts to learn the basics of modding (modifications) in Minecraft. Students will be introduced to MCreator and BlockBench, powerful tools for creating custom blocks, items, tools, dimensions and mobs. Students will also explore 3D modelling using BlockBench to create unique textures for their custom mods. Through this course, students will be equipped with valuable skills to create their own mods and to customize the Minecraft game according to their preferences.
Graphic Design with PhotoPea
In this course, students will learn how to use PhotoPea (a web-based graphic editor that is similar to Adobe Photoshop) to do graphic designs and photo editing, which will allow them to explore their creativity and enhance their design skills. Basic still-life photography techniques will also be introduced along with the fundamentals of graphic design, which will equip students with the skills to design a simple movie poster during the course.
Roblox Coder
In this course, students will learn about game creation through the construction of their own obstacles (Obby) and terrains within the Roblox Studio. Through that, students will learn about the process of debugging, beta testing and feedback. Moreover, students will be introduced to LUA scripting which they will be using to create their own projects!
Machine Learning
Machine Learning is a rapidly growing field, and understanding the basics can be a valuable skill in today’s job market. This course provides an introduction to supervised learning, a fundamental area of machine learning, by building a classification model using Python. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, students will learn about various mathematical models and techniques used in machine learning.
Virtual Reality with CoSpaces
Dive into the world of Virtual Reality (VR) through this course. Students will get to explore and discover the unique features of VR and use them to create custom 3D environments and immersive experiences. Using the CoSpaces Edu platform, students will get hands-on experience with VR development and create virtually anything in the classroom. This program is designed to improve students’ digital literacy skills and enhance their creativity.

I always look forward to every Friday afternoon to attend the Kodecoon coding class. Why? Because at every lesson we get to learn a new coding skill and we get to apply it in the games that we created ourselves. The games are interesting and fun. We get to see other students’ creations too. The teacher is also very friendly. She can explain it thoroughly if you don’t understand any of the things.
I love Kodecoon Academy classes because they do their best to help nurture their student to fulfil their potential in learning how to code. The teachers make the lessons so positive and funny yet understandable.
Kodecoon Academy has given me opportunities to sharpen my presentation skills and also to converse with real programmers in working in certain fields.
I love Kodecoon classes because it has clearly organised lesson plans that allowed me to understand and absorb the most out of each lesson. Teachers in Kodecoon are very understanding, by being able to tweak lessons and ensure everyone regardless of age is able to learn at the same pace. Their extensive knowledge in not only programming, but experiences in the real-life fields has that they share during lessons is really helpful as I get to know more than just the lesson for that day.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
Here at Kodecoon Academy, we aim to equip every child with programming knowledge and the power to create change. In today’s increasingly digital world, programming is the new literacy.
Digital literacy is not equivalent to how proficient they are at playing mobile or computer games. Rather, it is the ability to understand how computers work and to write codes that can instruct computers to perform certain actions.
We want every child we teach to be future-ready – become creators and change-makers and not mere passive consumers of technology.
Like what Steve Jobs said. “Everyone should know hoe to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think”. To be able to solve complex problems, your child needs to have computational thinking skills, which consists of 4 components namely Decomposition, Abstraction, Pattern Recognition and Algorithmic Thinking. For all the parents reading this, ask yourself the question, “Is my child ready to take on the digital age?”
Yes, of course! Most of our students join Kodecoon as complete beginners. And we see awesome projects that they coded on their own by the end of the lessons!
Our classes are conducted live over Zoom to ensure a real-time, two-way interaction between our students and our instructor. Only for certain modules, we have in-person classes. Do check with our Customer Happiness team to find out more!
It depends on your availability! As we open new classes every week, we can find a suitable slot for you and your child after the assessment results from the trial class!
